Vintage Acapulco Handwoven Indian Embroidery J Rodriguez Mexico Novelty Top Shorts
This vintage Acapulco Handwoven Indian Embroidery J. Rodriguez Mexico novelty top and shorts set dates from the 1950s. It is made of a purple handwoven Indian embroidery linen fabric, with a colorful patchwork of orange and yellow embroidered Mexican designs with sequin accents on the front top. There is an Aztec Mayan warrior, guitar, Acapulco, Mexico and Homos embroidered onto the front top. This retro resort wear womens Mexican novelty souvenir playsuit two piece outfit has a short crop top pullover blouse shirt, with a loose fitting squared boxy style and is sleeveless, unlined. The top measures 18 inches long, with a 40 inch chest and 40 inch waist. Included are a pair of matching purple handwoven linen fabric cutoff short pants, with frayed fringe leg cuffs, a front zipper, toggle bone button front closure and are unlined. The shorts measure 16 inches long, with a 28 inch waist and 38 inch hips. There is "This is an Original Acapulco Handwoven Indian Embroidery J. Rodriguez Made in Mexico" label sewn inside both. It is in good condition, with only a small faint discoloration spot on the front top hidden inside the white embroidery work design. This is truly a wonderful piece of novelty resort wear Mexican wearable art!
